This month for me means: hope, support, courage and strength. Love, kindness and prayers. Awareness, facts and stories. Encouragement, uplifting and hope. This month, is my story, it’s my cancer month. Along with so many other warriors, cancer month. It means something to more to us, it means we are together as one, melanoma Warriors. We are melanoma strong!
But…
This month, for me, brings anxiety, sleepless nights and tears. Fear, hurt and loneliness. This month brings up my past of the scariest time in ones life. It’s melanoma awareness month. It means scars, surgeries and biopsies. Appointments, surgeons and dermatologists. Scans, MRI’s and radioactive body. Scars, wounds and healing. Tears, pain and sorrow. There is so much more to this month, then a black ribbon.
