Do you know how melanoma is measured? The tumor thickness or better known as the Breslow Depth. “Breslow depth is a measurement in millimeters of the thickness of the primary tumor from the top layer of the skin to its deepest point. The thicker a melanoma, the more likely it has spread to the lymph nodes or other parts of the body. in situ, it is found only on the outer layer of the skin.”- @aimatmelanoma

Here’s my original mole info: 9mm, Clark level III, 1.25mm mitotic index: less 1mm. WLE: removed 2-7 LN. My mole was discolored, deep dark and risen mole under my left forearm.

This is used to measure how deeply the tumor has penetrated the skin, they measure the thickness in millimeters (mm).
