HERE’S WHY:
?Losing someone?
Melanoma took Emily on July 6th 2021, she was a young, vibrant and full of life- FIGHTER! She was strong, beautiful and wanted to beat stage IV Melanoma. The worst part of this, she left a broken hearted family. Destroyed her friends, who loved her the most. A community of friends, who encouraged everyday. We wanted a victory but instead we faced, loss. Melanoma is so dangerous, so awful and continues to take our friends.
Emily-
I was lucky enough to get to know you. You said my story, brought you hope but yet you did the same for me. Emily you encouraged me and you pushed me. You’re YouTube videos, we’re so uplifting and inspirational. You always were determined to beat this, you never doubted it. I hate that you didn’t get that truth, at age 22!! Being diagnosed at 15, how can you not think you would beat this, YOU HAD SO MUCH LIFE TO LIVE!
I am sorry Emily, that cancer took you so young, that your family and friends, mourn you. That melanoma made you a statistic, that we WILL break! You deserved better!
You will ALWAYS be with me, Grace, Stephanie, China, Ben and Kimberly. As we push on to fight against melanoma, bring awareness to all we can. You ladies will stay in my heart, as I continue this journey. Sending you all the love and light. I will “live my best life”, I promise. ?? -Katie
