Obituary
November 5, 1980 – January 13, 2021
In the lasting glow of her smile and memory, we say goodbye to Kimberly Ann Trenholm. She got her angel wings too young but had earned them through her intense warmth that touched so many. Kim was born November 5, 1980 and passed peacefully on January 13, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer.
She is predeceased by her Grandparents Harold and Sarah Enns. She is survived by her sons Kristopher and Levi, spouse Brian, father Mark (Aline), mother Cindy (Howard), brother Chris (Nicole), and grandparents Milo and Sheila. She will also be missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Kim was born, raised and thrived in Campbell River, graduating from CARIHI in 1998. Kim was a compassionate nurse at the Campbell River Hospital. She trained at North Island College. She touched many lives and families first on the 3 south surgical ward and later as an ER nurse. Many coworkers have benefitted from her teaching, mentorship and friendship.
Even on her worst days Kim could find humour. Her smile and laugh were contagious. She cared deeply for others. Even when she would have been justified focusing on her own battle, she would ask about your family and ensure the well being of others. She loved camping, fishing, traveling, watching her boys play baseball and was always up for an adventure.
The family is incredibly grateful to the nurses and doctors in Campbell River and Victoria who cared for Kim and were so supportive of our family through her journey.
Kim continues to be loved by the many people that were a part of her life and will be greatly missed by all. Our thanks to those who have been so supportive to Kim’s family during this very difficult time.
Kim-
I miss you! I miss our chats about life and cancer. I miss your laugh and the plans to meet up. I’m sad we never were able to go fishing and you show me, what real fish look like. You touched my life for a brief moment but it truly felt, like I had always known you! Thank you for being a part of my world. I’ll always keep you close to me and my passion for melanoma awareness. You will be a force, that helps drive me, in my goals to help others! You’re the best!
My endless friendship, MMW.
